Images of England - Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe

John Mitchell has recently published a new, pictorial history of the R.G.S.  This shows the story of the R.G.S. in prints and photographs from its foundation in the 16th century to the present day, so complementing the history by Leslie Ashford and Kit Haworth published in 1962. Most of the pictures have not been published before, and many have been lent specially for the book by former pupils and staff.

John sold a good number of copies at the OW Dinner, and the interest aroused was considerable. I personally found the book absolutely fascinating, as did so many others, and I would recommend it wholeheartedly. In the shops it is sold for £11.99. If you are an old boy of the RGS, you can buy it for £8.50, or £10.00, including postage to a UK address. You may at the same time wish to buy a copy of the History of the School by Leslie Ashford and Kit Haworth for an additional £2.00, or £3.00, including postage to a UK address.

 To order, see below.
